This morning’s breakfast. I’m surprised I even got my food together this morning. I was just not feeling well during the night and woke up multiple times. I thought I kept hearing things and in my crazy sleepy haze, dreams blurred with reality and at some point I thought the zombie apocolypse was happening. Luckily, it was not true and I had enough energy to get my meals for the day done.
Breakfast was the last of my sheep yogurt with museli and berries, with a drizzle of honey.
I was very sore today. Very achy in the front of my hips so I ended up walking funny. My best John Wayne strut yet. It felt like I had just run my first 1/2 marathon. Ouch. I used the Stick throughout the day and as usual, it hurt soooo good. Especially on my right calf and in my hamstrings. I stretched a little more as well.
I had an unpictured fig bar for a snack. Lunch at work was a tuna wrap with mustard, sprouts, and a sliced radish.
I don’t usually eat radishes, but my dad would eat the often fresh out of the ground and washed off. I remember disliking them as a child but have recently been enjoying little bites here and there. It added the perfect crunch and slight heat to my wrap.
I got a little more hungry as the work day wore on and snacked on some celery sticks with peanut butter.
I also had an unpictured handful of grapes as I drove home from work. By time work ended, I had gotten a slight headache and the grapes helped ease it off. I had debated about wheher or not going for a walk with Lando since my legs and hips were still achy but I owed it to the pup to take him out.
I originally thought about doing only a mile or two around the good ol’ hood, but instead it got longer and longer the more we walked.
And the walked turned into a sort of jog. We ran the length of run block, then walked the next and so forth.
Lando was doing very well. He wanted to go faster but I reigned him in and tried to keep us at a steady pace that would aggravate my ache. It was all good until my right leg seriously began to feel off. down the entire length from the hip to the knees down the calf. We ended up walking the majority at the end, me with a slight limp.
It doesn’t bode well. I did slow down when my body told me too and as soon as the pain flaired up I stopped running. It just seems odd to me that it’s acting this way. I might have to check my shoes and see if I wore them out
We did a total of 4.5 miles in just over and hour and I went through a quick yoga routine for stretching and foam rolled. I plan on doing it again before bed.
Dinner was leftovers from last wee, some eggs and veggie chili with a side of tortilla wrap and some lemonade with blueberries.
Tonight, we’re watching the 2013 Westminster dog show. And I scared the bejesus out of everyone when I squealed at the sight of the Aussie Shepherd. Came from a breeder from where we got Lando and looks almost exactly like him!
And looks soooo much like our little boy. Lando is watching and cheering his relative on ![]()
Goooooo Aussie shepherd!!
Hope everyone is having a good night. Going to stretch and foam roll some more before I hit the hay.
Tell me. . .
-Do you like watching the dog shows? Do you have a dog? What breed? Or is it a lovely mix? My family has always gotten shelter dogs, and do plan on getting one from the shelter or rescue group. Though we love our Aussie Lando.
-How long do you usually wait to run when you got leg aches? Not long enough :\
-Do you run with your dog? What’s your usual distance with them? Furthest I took Lando running was just over 7 miles. Usual is 3.5-5.5miles.

Your food looks so delicious! Especially the breakfast. It’s got my stomach growling.
I’ve jogged with Ryder a handful of times. David jogs with him a lot. Typically about 3 miles.
I need to get more yogurt to remake my breakfast. That one really does fill me up. Running with a dog is fun, except when they tryveer one way or take your legs out from under you. lol.
